The progressives are the most intolerant bunch I know (personal experience speaking here - I've tried to befriend them and engage them in reasonable conversation, because I can still value them as a fellow traveler tho we are polar opposite in worldview -- and they will have none of it. Being a Christian conservative is the equivalent of being a member of the KKK as far as they are concerned.)<br /><br />As regarding Christians -- We are entitled to have a voice in the public sphere, every bit as much as the gay, the atheist, the environmentalist, etc. HOWEVER, when Christians combine politics and faith, pushing religious values through legislation, boycotting, etc - we are shooting ourselves in the foot. We just leave a sour taste in everyone's mouth. God never forced himself on us. We should follow that example. And yeah, when I see a 300 lb. Christian piling their plate at the food bar and at the same time condemning homosexuality, I gotta wonder.....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
